My deepest appreciation to all of the voters in the 1st District who continue to believe in the work we are doing to protect Lakewood as the community where we all want to live and raise our families. I will maintain my unwavering commitment to representing your priorities and protecting our collective quality of life for every resident in every neighborhood of our city. Although I was extremely disappointed when our effort to form a Lakewood Unified School District was voted down by the State Board of Education, I was proud to create the Lakewood Education Foundation and continue to serve as its president to this day.
Largely due to the generosity of our community, the Lakewood Education Foundation has now donated almost $700,000 directly to Lakewood classrooms. Can't wait until next year!
